5 REASONS WHY KLOPP IS THE RIGHT MAN FOR LIVERPOOL FC
Klopp is Liverpool's 23rd manager after succeedING Brendan Rogers who was sacked after 8 EPL games.
Prior to his appointment as the Kop's head coach, Klopp had managed two German clubs: Mainz 05 (2001-2008) and Borrusia Dortmund (2008-2015).
The capture of Klopp by the Anfield side is a clear statement of intent and gives the Liverpool fans a reason to believe again.
Here are 5 reasons why Klopp is the man for Liverpool FC
1) Massive upgrade from Brenden Rogers
Jurgen Klopp made a name for himself as one of the best coaches in Europe following his relative success with Borrusia Dortmund.
With Brendan Rogers, Liverpool got closer to the title than they have ever gotten in a long time, finishing the 2013/14 league season in second place with 101 goals scored. However, Brendan Rogers was unable to convince Liverpool FC that he has what it takes to take them back to the top and restore their European pedigree.
In Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool fans will have a good reason to believe that they can be at the top again, as they now have an outstanding coach with a better pedigree in European football.
2) Treading a Familiar Terrain
When Klopp was appointed as the head coach of Borrusia Dortmund in 2008, the club was coming out of a disappointing season where they finished 13th on the Bundesliga league table.
In his first season at BVB, Klopp guided the club - which is where Liverpool are at the moment - to a sixth-place finish. He subsequently led them to winning two consecutive Bundesliga titles in 2010/11 and 2011/12, and a champions league final against all odds.
3) The Young lads Will Never Walk alone
One of the first songs Liverpool fans adopted for the club was "You’ll Never Walk Alone..."
Apart from the passion and enthusiasm he inspires in his sides, Klopp has an immeasurable faith in younger, untested players and has a strong capacity to develop and shape them into an effective unit.
During his time at Dortmund, Klopp worked with the Club's sporting director, Micheal Zorc to integrate young talents like: Nuri Sahin, Shinji kagawa, Marco Reus, Mario Gotze, etc, into the team and sHaped them into top class players
Klopp dropped A hint in his first official interview on the Club's TV channel saying, "I am not a dream man. I don't want to have Christian [Ronaldo] or Lionel [Messi] and all these players in one team. I want these guys [the current squad]..."
4) Liverpool Will Grow From "Doubters to Believers."
When Brendan Rodgers first came to takeover the reins at Anfield, he got everyone to his side. The club, the fans, even Journalists spoke highly of him and he inspired positive vibes from the dressing room.
However, as time went by, Rodgers began to struggled with the size of the job. He seemed overwhelmed by the weight of expectations and continuous scrutiny that comes with managing a team of Liverpool's status.
Can Klopp revive Liverpool's believe? Absolutely! Klopp rose to beCOME one of football's best managers, not by managing a side ull of world class players, but by leading an average Dortmund side to winning 7 titles in his 7yrs at the club.
At Liverpool, Klopp will be tasked with coaching a team that is relatively better in terms of quality and financial capacity.
Klopp will be tasked with rebuilding a Club that is gradually losing its credibility in European football but unlike the Dortmund side he managed, Liverpool will be willing to provide money for him to buy quality players to compete with the top teams.
5) Passionate and Animated
Liverpool fans are some of the most passionate football fans in the world. In fact, only few grounds in the world can compete with the atmosphere at Anfield.
Klopp will be a great fit as he will be a channel to transmit the passion to the players from the sidelines and this will be well aided by his style.
Klopp instructs his teamS to play a style of football known as "gegenpressing". This will be a suitable style of play for such a passionate club with strong financial resources as the structure is built around the qualities of players. Klopp emphasises on maximum intensity and passion.
