10 MARIJUANA FREE ZONES! CHECK THEM OUT!

On Friday, Nov 13, 2015, Colombia became the latest country to decriminalize the use of Marijuana; specifically for medical purpose, following the announcement of the Colombian government.


Although many countries have legalized the use of Marijuana, the regulating laws regarding the sales, possession and transportation varies.


Here are 10 Countries where Marijuana is Legalize



Portugal

Portugal became the first country in the world to legalize the use of all drugs in 2001. The Portuguese government treat the use of marijuana as a public health issue rather than a crime. A user, if caught many times may be arrested and sent to the rehabilitation centre.

Colombia

Following the announcement on Friday, Colombia became the latest country to legalize the use of Marijuana. The Bill which will legalize the use of the substance for medical and scientific use is expected to be signed in the coming days. The country will legalize the growing and selling of Cannabis.

Spain

The Marijuana law in Spain is more complicated than other countries. The use or possession of cannabis in public places is illegal and attracts a of £300 or more, however, there is no restriction to the use or cultivation of the drug in private.

North Korea

In North Korea, cannabis is not considered a drug, hence it's legal. Marijuana plants can be seen growing by the roadside. The government considers marijuana to be more acceptable than cigarettes and alcohol



Netherlands

The Netherlands forbids all drugs including marijuana, however, the sales of marijuana is allowed in coffee shops although certain rules are put in place to regulate its sales.

Argentina

On August 25, 2009, Argentina's Supreme Court ruled that the use of Cannabis is legal under Article 19 of the Argentina Constitution which states: "private actions that in no way offend public order or morality, nor are detrimental to a third party, are reserved for God and are beyond the authority of legislators."

Australia

Although there is no general law allowing for the use of Marijuana in Australia, however, lack of strict punishment for the use of the drug has made it possible for about 23 states to legalize it for medicinal use.

Uruguay

On Dec, 10, 2013, the Uruguayan government legalized marijuana in the country. In Uruguay, individuals are allowed to grow certain quantity of Marijuana and are even allowed to use it for commercial purpose but the whole process has to be regulated and monitored by the government.

Austria

In January 2008, Austria enacted a law which makes the possession of Marijuana for commercial purpose illegal although it allows the possession of the drug for personal use and placed no particular restriction in the quantity an individual can possess for personal use.

Ecuador

The Ecuadorian government does not see drug  use and consumption as a crime but only as a health issue or concern. The government, however, only allow 10 grams of marijuana for personal consumption.
